A Sri Lankan-style soup curry specialist on the Maruyama Ura-sando. The name comes from Matale, the spice-growing region of central Sri Lanka; the owner selects organic spices there in person and ships them to Sapporo. The thin, silky Sri Lankan-style soup is layered over Japanese dashi — aromatic yet gentle. The menu is refreshingly simple: one base curry, choose your main. Closed Thursdays.
