KONKON 狐温懇 KONKON

A pudding shop that reinvented itself. "Dosanko Purin," opened in Noboribetsu Onsen in 2022, was renamed and rebuilt in its fifth year as KONKON, a soup curry and pudding house. The original Noboribetsu soup curry is built on fat rendered from Noboribetsu-buta, the local branded pork; alongside five standards (braised pork belly, lamb shoulder, house zangi fried chicken, Hokkaido vegetables, seafood) comes "Enma," limited to twenty bowls a day. The interior takes Noboribetsu itself as its subject: tables shaped after the Oyunuma hot lake, booths modelled on old goemon-buro iron baths, and a back wall cut like the strata of Jigokudani. Opposite the statue of Enma, three minutes from the Jigokudani car park.
