Editor's Note
An original in Higashikawa, the 'town of photography' near Asahikawa: a soup deepened with squid ink and anchovies — unlike anything else in Hokkaido — with around 14 curries, 30 toppings and 15 spice levels. Worth the short trip from Asahikawa.
